Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Perform diagnostics and repair on medium and heavy-duty diesel engines.
- Utilizing electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in the troubleshooting and repair of heavy-duty trucks engine, braking, electrical, and cooling and exhaust systems.
- Perform repairs on the various components which may include transmission, suspension, and other systems.
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
- Coordinate parts orders with parts department.
- Complete online training courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience
- 5+ years of previous heavy-duty mechanical experience minimum.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to make decisions promptly.
- Mastery of English speaking and writing skills required.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Desire for a long-term career with a growing shop.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak and understand English

Hourly Non-Exempt
Experienced Mechanics will receive top pay plus generous bonus pay structure for their proven skills!
Shifts (Central time)
8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Skills, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers, hands and/or limbs on repetitive operation of mechanical or electrical repair shop machines and tools
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing in excess of 60 pounds
- Move, load or unload material and parts for trucks and trailers
- Push and maneuver heavy objects using carts, dollies, or dumpsters weighing up to 250 pounds.
- Exposure to noise, dust, cleaning solvents, battery acids, and exhaust fumes
