Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance tovehicles such as oil and filter changes, fluid checks and replacements, tireinspections and rotations, brake system checks, and electrical systemassessments on light to medium duty trucks.
· Inspect and perform work on the under parts oflight to medium duty trucks.
· Maintain diesel equipment operation bycompleting inspections and preventive maintenance requirements, including DOTinspections.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Prior experience with preventative maintenanceon light to medium duty trucks required.
· Cummins, Chevrolet or Fordexperience preferred.
· Desire to learn and grow as a Technician.
· Texas commercial vehicle inspector licensepreferred.
· Clean diving record.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Skills, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers, hands and/or limbs on repetitive operation of mechanical or electrical repair shop machines and tools.
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing in excess of 60 pounds.
- Move, load or unload material and parts for trucks and trailers.
- Push and maneuver heavy objects using carts, dollies, or dumpsters weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Exposure to noise, dust, cleaning solvents, battery acids, and exhaust fumes while in the shop work area.
- Working within a service garage setting. Ability to calculate simple mathematical equations. Heavy phone usage, talking with customers. Exposure to noise, dust, cleaning solvents, and exhaust fumes.
